Serving as an anchor for the Patchwork Farms development, Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River cut a ribbon this week and opened its doors to Vestavia Hills and the surrounding community.
“We hope this center becomes the preferred choice for people who need short-term rehabilitation,” Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River Executive Director Matt Cornelius told the crowd gathered for the ribbon cutting. “We’re unique in this area because Aspire combines a comprehensive therapy program with hotel or spa like amenities.”
Located on six acres and covering more than 95,000 square feet, the two-story structure has 120 private suites and two therapy gyms. Each suite includes a private bathroom, complimentary Wi-Fi, a refrigerator and cable television. While participating in rehabilitation, guests can take advantage of spa services, a putting green, large courtyard and multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces.
“When you take a tour of this facility, you’ll be very impressed with it,” Vestavia Hills Mayor Butch Zaragoza, Jr. said while admiring the lobby. “It’s laid out the way that when I get ready for a senior living, I’d love to live here.”
This location is the third Aspire Physical Recovery Center to open in Alabama. The first facility opened in Hoover in late 2014, and another opened in Northport earlier this summer.
“I have been a long-term care administrator for 20 years,” Cornelius said. “Being able to open and start this facility is the pinnacle of my career. I appreciate this opportunity.”
